Beginners Class - Listening To Instructions - 6/30/12

HUGE amounts of distraction combined boredom, and the dogs and owners did great!

Quite impressive I must say.

OWNERS -  Use your dog's name often
 DOGS -  work on;
  •  "Puppy Push-Ups" this week. You may start out with treats but then wean off of them.
  • Down
as always, WAIT, WAIT, WAIT, WAIT

Beginners Class - Setting Your Dog Up To Win- 6/23

  Walking Instructions

  • Let's Go - to head out
  • Wait /OK - at all doors, curbs, etc.
  • With Me - walking past distractions, crossing streets, when your dog is pulling, and for no reason.
  • OK / Free - to release your dog from the With Me.
                                       Well done.

OWNERS - Nice body language and  I am impressed that everyone is remembering to use their words first, before leash correction.

DOGS - They are able to focus on commands better. Also, the pups are able to settle themselves down, more quickly after some excitement.

  Each dog has their limitations. Know what those are and slowly work up to where those limitations become less and less under your directions.
